Ike - Dominican Update

From Floresta's Dominican Director:

I am certain that the prayers of Floresta USA made it possible that hurricanes Hanna and Ike did not cause major damage to the Dominican Republic.

Thank you so much for your invaluable support in the hour of danger.  The strong winds affected the production of greenhouse vegetables in the southern region of the country.  They also affected the construction of a greenhouse that we support in Juan Adrian.  The rains continue and the people are taking protective measures.  The Dominican Government has sent humanitarian aid in the form of doctors that were sent to today to Haiti, a country that has been severely affected.

Blessings,
Carlos
